Abstract
|
|
|
We have been using the computerized system of the routine chemistry and hematology laboratory data management in the Department of Clinical Pathology, Seoul National University Children´s Hospital.
The computer system is composed of one VAX 11/750, one hard discs, two diskette drives, one tape drive, nine terminals, five hard copies and one line printer.
Our laboratory information system developed since 1985 as one of procedure to construct Seoul National University Hospital Clinical Laboratory Information System is as follows
1) Requested tests are inputed, then matching lists and work-lists are issued at the reception.
2) Laboratory tests are done according to work-lists.
3) Results from the automated analyzers are input directly to computer via using
RS232-C interface and manually tested results are input manually via terminals.
4) Tests are evaluated with panic values and delta-check before being reported.
5) Then the results including cumulative report are issued for the doctors and
laboratory-data-book.
We will connect this system with the hospital main computer via LAN afterwards, thus data and other informations of patients can be utilized between two computers.
